I read a post a while back enquiring whether it was possible to assign
anything other than the 8 or so sounds provided with the handset to message
alert. The handset in question was a K750 I think. The unanimous reply was
no you can't, which at the time I agreed with, being a K750 owner myself.
I've since handed the handset on to my 16 year old son, and got a K550
myself. He must be a genius because he solved the problem in about a day.
His method works for the 750, 550 and maybe other SE handsets too.
Navigate to the sound using file manager or media album. When the sound is
highlighted, press more/use as/message alert. Bingo!
