Cellular Phone Forum / Country Specific / UK Group / December 2007O2 network down?!
Just lost service. Phoned my number from landline and got fault signal instead of voicemail, so called O2 customer service: "Are you calling from the South of England" "Yes" "We have a major network fault ... top priority ... should be fixed soon" Does this mean half the country is out of service?! Second thoughts, maybe it wasn't out for me. Third thoughts, maybe it is. I just returned to my phone at half eight. Noticed I had no signal. The phone kept trying to go into 3G, half a splutter, no signal, so returns to to 2G. Never seen that before. Interesting. Just rebooting. Still don't seem to have 3G.... Anyone know anything > more? whens it up. On a side note, one of the antennas on my local site was hanging off the tower. o2 said i had to report it to the old bill. HUH, y, when im talking to the owners o2 lol. such a run around. Anyway i called a m8 whos is a rf guy for o2 and he was just as supprised too. but he arranged for a rigger to take a look. > Just lost service. But nobody at O2 thought of putting a message on the stupid multiple choice recorded service to tell us there was a problem and they were dealing with it.
