Got a nokia E70 for xmas, sim free,
at the moment i'm using my t-mobile payg sim in it, i get 3G coverage
upstairs where i live, not downstairs tho, despite us living on the top of a
hill.

Anyway, i know i can use web n walk on payg for a quid a day, not sure if
that can be used for laptop use tho....

But i'd like to get a contract sim with a half decent data allowance, i'd
heard t-mobile were doing one for a tenner a month, but that's expired and
it's now 30 quid a month again.

Heard O2 have reduced their data rates considerably, 3 are supposed to have
best deals for date, but get arsey when a phone not bought from them is used
or something.

I want to use the phone's browser to check web sites out, and when i'm out
in the camper, use the phone as a modem to get on the net with the lappy...
which i understand means i'd need the more expensive web n walk package to
do that.

Not interested in using voip ever, don't make many phone calls, but use data
a fair bit.

in an ideal world the contract would include data roamiong abroad included
in the allowance, but i think that's pushing it, well not for a decent price
someone on disability benefits can afford anyway.

So what are the best deal for a mainly contact at the moment, or does anyone
know of any that are about to comeout if i wait a little???

As far as T-mobile is concerned...

The old T-mobile SIM only package has been discontinued, you could add
all the Web'n'Walk packages to that and it gave 50 cross network minutes
£7.50. Now the best is £20 minimum on "Just Sim" with WnW costs on top.

Best bet might be to get one of the "mobile broadband" offerings. There
is one which is £20 a month including a USB modem on a 24 month
contract. You could sell the modem too I suppose.

Steve.
