I have a Sony Ericsson
What is the four digit number (factory setting) to allow the phone to
be locked etc and how to I find the equivalent on the sim.
I tried calling S/E etc but their help desk is a waste of time

It's normaly ' 0000 '.
If this has been changed then there is no way of getting the code.

It's in the manual. You can get the manual from their website if need
be.

But if it isn't then this might be why you are asking these questions.

It is my phone, the 0000 seems to work thanks. I had previously had
other problems which resulted the help desk getting me reset it thus
wiping all the themes etc (i didnt think at the time- doh!)
I tell you next time I get a phone Im going to get them to set it up
at the shop and if they dont want to then they can go forth and
multiply
