Shouldn't be a problem technically.
You might want to consider buying a UK SIM card for it though, otherwise you
will be paying international roaming rates for all your calls and texts, and
also pay for receiving calls (not a good situation). The only real problem
is if your phone is 'locked' to your French network provider, but if you've
had the phone for a year, you should be able to get them to unlock it for
you, failing that, depending on the make/model of the phone, you should be
able to get it unlocked. Will cost anything from free online (mainly Nokias)
up to 10-15 quid from your local phone shop/market stall.
