I guess i've been lucky, never had a billing problem with 3 PAYT
I'm using 3 internet 5quid monthly now, with aioe.cjb.net free newsserver,
and for email i use smtp.gmail.com on SSL port 465

I have another 3 sim tucked inside a wireless broadband modem running on
Vista and can't fault a thing there - great service and speed via mobile
broadband.
Ah well, seems it's the outsourcing that kind of lets things down.
