A three PAYG sim, £5 internet add-on gives you a month's internet (max 1GB),
and 3g USB modem.
The 3g usb modem from Three is £100 but is locked to their network. I've
just ordered http://www.devicewire.co.uk/Option-GlobeSurfer-iCON-72S which
is £130 but unlocked,

Take note of the detail in the post - PAYG on Three NOT contract.
If on contract you can run up a very large bill - same goes for
Vodafone (who, in my opinion, purposely set up schemes to fleece
customers unaware). On 'Three' contract it is 10p/MB if you over run
your allowance. If you don't keep an eye on it you could be paying
£15/3GB and then £100/GB. With PAYG, if you run over your allowance
the service would just stop.
