When I connect the tomtom to the 6300 on orange I can use the phone and send
text via the 520 omtom but new received  texts are not displayed on the tom
tom, only in the phone. When I connect to my other phone a SEK800i on O2 the
texts are correctly displayed on the tomtom. Is there a setting that needs
to be set in the 6300 somewhere ? The 6300 is not listed in the tomtom phone
settings but I have tried several and it is currently set as a N95 what is
the nearest alternative.

You could just park up and send texts legally

Such details aren't relevant to the pathetic moral posers that leap
out of the woodwork whenever you mention things like speed camera
databases.  It's helpful of them to identify themselves so you can add
them to your killfile though.

The N95 is a SYmbian based smartphone and it's software architecture is
radically different to that of a 6300. I'm not suprised it's not
working.

What other Nokia phones does the tomtom unit list?

The 6300 is a Series 40 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 device, their are
non listed above.

The closest would Series 40 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 devices which
are the 6131 and 6233.

Might also help if your handset is running the latest firmware
version.

I have used my N70 with a Tom Tom PS mouse and googlemaps before, worked
fne and is a fair idea when your TT or Garmin falls over or the maps are
out of date.
