Hi

A club of which I am a member is wanting to do a weekly text message
to their members. It seems the best way to do this is to get a
contract with a reasonable number of bundled texts, with cashback from
someone like e2save.

To make this work well, however, we are looking to find a phone which
allows you to send an sms message to a group of contacts (in fact
every contact) easily - that is without having to select every
individual contact every time.

Are there any phones that people know of that have this kind of
facility - perhaps the ability to allocate contacts to a group, and to
send a text message to this group?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Looking at my Sony Ericsson W300i it appears to have the ability to
put all my contacts in to a group then,if you wish, send a text message
to that group or any other one if you have more than one group.

Nokia E65.  It is intended to be a 'business phone'  but many of the
features are useful to anyone - though I can't say that I have found a use
for the Group/Team functions!

Wouldn't a PC/web-based solution be better and potentially cheaper, if
you're considering buying a phone/contract especially to do it with?

Don't know - but worth looking into - maybe others know more?

BTW cashback deals definitely seem to be on the wane now - high value
ones at least.
