Does your Virgin/NTL email service permit you to use its SMTP server when
not connected to it via your Virgin/NTL internet connection?

No, it appears that I need to set my outgoing mail server to
smtp.t-email.co.uk
and use my ntlworld username and password.

I use BTInternet on my n95 via T-Mobile web'n'walk and have no problem
sending mail from smtp.btinternet.com, I just make sure that I have my
username and password for the email account in there so it
authenticates as I'm sending email from a non-btinternet IP
(T-Mobile).
If that fails can you not use the T-Mobile SMTP server (I assume there
is one) but just stating your From & Reply-to addresses being your
NTHell account?

Hi BGN, and thanks.
It appears that I need to set my outgoing mail server to smtp.t-email.co.uk
and use my ntlworld username and password.
Works fine now, I downloaded these settings from the T Mob website, which
asked for my Internet provider, so clearly differs for each.
Incoming is still pop.ntlwolrld.com
