Not so. I once had a *very* obscure configuration problem which left me
able to post to around half the groups I was actually subscribed to on a
somewhat random basis. Posting only to test groups would have proved
nothing.

OK, but why not just post a question or something instead of a test
post that way it dosn't clutter up the groups with unneccessary test
posts which annoy some ppl.
Nick.

Perhaps the OP didn't have a specific question..?
BTW posting test messages doesn't annoy me half as much as using textspeak
on Usenet ;-)

In that case (and it does appear to be the case) the OP had no reason
posting anything here.

Care to explain what needed to be reconfigured in case anyone thinks
your making it up?

I never did get to the bottom of it. ISTR it was something obscure in OE.

So how do you know it was a configuration problem if you didn't get to
the bottom of it?
From memory there's next to nothing to configure in Outlook Express
beyond the server and logon details.
What made you think it was something in Outlook express that was the
problem?

I can't recall offhand, it was several years ago. But it was a *very*
weird problem.
