The way to 'test' that is to post a question, not a 'test message' which is guaranteed to irritate. There are test groups galore for posting test messages in if all you want is to check that your settings get the result you intended, or that you can post at all. Apart from spam, I haven't seen many posts from China in the uk.* groups. From memory there's next to nothing to configure in Outlook Express beyond the server and logon details. What made you think it was something in Outlook express that was the problem?
