Hi,

I need to setup a system to send remiders (appointments and pet
vaccinations/checkups) via SMS. I've started to look at this in the past
but the project has been pushed back and back.

Anyway, I saw an ad today from 3 offering 'unlimited' texts. I presume
there's some 'fair use' policy (we'd do about 7000 a month), but in
general terms, could I bung a 3 SIM in a fixed GSM terminal and squirt
out messages from a MYSQL database in the form "number, message" ?

Any pointers to software, terminals etc appreciated. Also, roughly how
many messages can you send per hour?

Thanks

I think the OP is talking about a reminder system to notify other
people rather than him/herself... in which case maybe this would fit
the bill:

Haven't checked it out yet myself, but it looks to be along the right
lines.

Reading it again, you're probably right.
