Hi all,

I was wondering if someone has had experience in either SMS over gprs/wap or
with an application where text messages can be sent for less that the
standard network fee. I text a lot to South Africa and of course they reply.
As these text ore not included in my bundle on orange I have heard of
applications where both parties use a application via wap to send and
receive messages and cant really find the correct search term with Google.
Also under text settings on the mobile there is proffered connection
GSM/UMTS and packet data, what is that all about?

Thanks for the advise

There's a clever new service from Vyke Mobile* that utilises the fact it
costs a fraction of the price to use mobile internet than it does to text.
If you've a phone which has web or WAP access, which is most phones bought
in the last three or four years, you can take advantage.

Trouble is, it wont work on the orange HTC touch. Are there any others?
