WiFi - dumb question

If I use my mobile to connect to the internet via my home wireless lan, (or
any other) I don't pay anything to my phone service provider do I?

Unless the connection priorities in the phone have gone up the squiff so it
is in fact still using 3G or something even though the wlan is connected :)

No, but "any other" may charge you.

No he won't, (other than paying his internet service provider for a
connection at home)
Assuming it works correctly, he won't need to pay anything to his phone
service provider.
