It was cheaper new on Orange PAYG although they are now out of stock

I ordered T610 at £149.99 by bugging Orange Shop on the phone today and they
was willing to price match it (they sell it for £199.99)

Now waiting for the delivery of the new phone!

I bought my Orange t610 PAYG from The Carphone Warehouse at the start of
September for £145.99. Their policy is to price match other retailers by up
to £50 (luckily I got that bit more!) so my advice to everyone is shop
around in the high street and on the net for that low price, I did! Saves
having to wait for a delivery man too except everywhere is still out of
stock at the mo : - (

Out of interest, considering the SIM-free price of the handset is over
£250, why would Orange subsidise a handset on a PAYG basis? Since there
is no contract involved, why wouldn't someone get it from Orange, throw
away the SIM and turn it into SIM-free (if they have to)? Even unlocking
wouldn't typically cost more than a tenner.
