I need advice on buying and managing a BT phone. I now have the CPW 3510i &
Samsung C100 Voda & T-mobile FT750 deals so I should be OK for airtime for a
while and I basically want a phone that has good battery life and that I can
manage more efficiently than all the others I've ever owned.
By that I mean every time I change phones I have to manually re-enter all
the contacts and numbers, luckily there aren't that many but even so a more
efficient system is needed (once had a Psion and Ericsson that made the
process so easy!) I assume that there must be a phone and software that I
could use to sync via BT? Advice appreciated on the software and hardware
needed (which I think is a USB BT dongle thingy? Is eBay a reliable source
as there seems to be lots of them offered?).
Because of the multiple contracts I need a BT phone that will accept at
least a dual SIM holder. Are some dual SIMs better than others? I would
like to avoid the SIM cutting I've seen in some eBay ads if possible. Are
"ghost" dual SIM holders a good alternative?
I saw John's post about getting a "free" 6310i and but for the timing I'd
have gone for that - I assume that would have done what's needed? However
if that's not available what else should I go for? The T610/Z600 seems to
be well rated here, is that a possible?
BT Headset
I've seen the Jabra BT200 advertised for ~£40 and have one on order at
Amazon in the vain hope it turns up before another standard replaces it.
Is it OK or should I look to buy another instead? The BT250 is almost 2x
the price is it really 2x as good? Plantronics M3000 for ~£45, etc..
So what do you recommend / where should I get it / where can I get it for
free, or as near to free as possible ;-)
Thanks and a happy New Year to all.

I can answer a couple of your questions.
The T610 is an excellent phone in most areas - screen is a little 'dull' in
bright sunshine.
The Jabra BT200 is a good BT headset - I've been using one for about 6
months now. The BT250 has much greater battery duration - if you don't have
access to mains or a lighter socket in a car then the BT250 may be worth the
extra ££. I bought a car charger for my BT200; but as a rule I get a couple
of days 'talk' on one charge

www.mobilefun.co.uk. Charger link is

I had to trim a little bit of plastic (Stanley knife) from around the jack
plug to stop it coming out. Don't know if that was a one off. But it works
fine

Thanks for the info - the lighter socket is inside the ashtray flap so it's
a complete pain and probably wouldn't take a recharger but I could plug it
in in the back assuming it's a similar style of socket.
Anyone have advice on BT stuff for connecting the phone managing contacts
etc?
