I got one from Fwd Cellular (+FT750). Its a lovely little phone and works
well. I've managed to connect to the internet with it and actually had the
patience to wait whilst a page downloaded. It also records 3 minutes of
sound. It's not a great texting phone though -compared with the 3510i.  I
couldn't tell it is refurbished and not new. and who needs polyphonics and
colour? (Would be nice but can't expect it at that price) Thanks to those
who highlighted this great offer.

Just wait until you use it in the day and get charged 40p/min - why go for
free minutes if you're not going to use them, especially as you get tied to
a 12month contract.  I know it's a cashback type offer, but you still have a
contract that has given you a used phone which isn't that good as it's well
out of date and you also have HIGH call charges.  Do you also pay for
itemised bills?
Excellent if you only use it at night, want free voicemail etc.
When you look at it closely - it's not such a great offer is it!

Then I will kick myself for being so careless. My first FT contract was
FT750 from Singlepoint. I reckoned I could get by with one or two peak
minutes a month - and I did for a year. Now I have a separate x-net contract
for use during  peak hours. I'm sorry if you tried an FT off peak contract
and didn't realise how it worked.

One good reason might be to get a free or cheap phone. In my case it is to
use for internet access and calls in the evening.

It's a great little phone for the money. If you insist on having the latest
phone every few months I feel sorry for you. What phone do you have and what
would you pay for 25 mins of calls every  night for a year?

>and you also have HIGH call charges.

I wouldn't call zero ppm off peak. What do you pay?

>Do you also pay for

They are optional, so no I don't.

Uh, yes - this is what people have been trying to get across to you for some
time now.

Its a bloody fantastic offer. Did you get turned down on the credit check or
why the sour grapes?

For crying out loud, how many times do you need this explained to you,
mr top-poster?

On FT750 you can use an 0871 callthrough number and make all peak-time
calls as 10p per minute, including cross-net calls.

Try reading this a few times till the message gets through to you.

And if you want to use your FREE phone to use FREE minutes OP? I might
also want to use the FREE text messaging.

So what? At £30, I could afford to put the phone in a drawer and NEVER
use it. It will still be a good deal.

> that has given you a used phone which isn't that good as it's well

Isnt that good? Have you had a bad experience with Forward Cellular or
something? The phone is fine. What exactly is it you think is bad
about it?

If I had a better phone to use than this, i could quite easily sell
the thing on ebay for at least £50 - making a £20 clear profit AND
still have 750 minutes of free calls to use per month. Why is this so
difficult for you to comprehend? Is your brain frizzled by all those
cheap peaktime calls you obviously must be making?

>and you also have HIGH call charges.

So dont fu*king use it during the day. Or better still, do what I have
just done and bought a dual sim for it for a whopping £3.50 and use a
sim that is cheap during the day. The only time the T-mobile sim is in
use, is when I am making an off peak call. Once thats over, I just
revert to my "normal" mobile number. I dont even know the number of
the T-mobile sim. Know what? I dont care, since i dont expect to ever
recieve any calls on it.

>Do you also pay for itemised bills?

No. I can use the net to see my bills and current calls. Can your
wonderous network provide you with that? (Whatever your wonderous
network might be - though judging by your repetetive posts on Virgin,
I'll assume its that. - If it is - how much was your high quality up
to date phone?)

>Excellent if you only use it at night, want free voicemail etc.

Etc, free voicemail, free calls to customer service (just for you
Virgin Boy), Free texts, Free 750 minutes per month and a Free decent
phone. What more do you want FFS. Does Richard Branson come and give
you a free blow job or something?

>When you look at it closely

Try doing just that - and take just a little attention to the many
replies you've already had. Read them. Understand just how foolish you
look.

>it's not such a great offer is it!

Er, yes - it *IS* a bloody good offer. Since you know a good deal when
you see one (not), by all means enlighten us all of a better deal. Or
STFU.
