Am I being daft or are Orange overcharging me for GPRS on YP200:

From my latest bill: GPRSdata  0.0662 megabytes   £0.662 I make that £10.00
per megabyte (+VAT) I thought it was only supposed to be around £3 per
megabyte if you don't have a bundle?

Yes, there is a special "rip-off" GPRS rate of £10 per megabyte. It
seems to be reserved for people who don't read their itemised bills
carefully.

If you ring OCS and complain, they'll switch you to the £3/meg GPRS
pricing, and probably refund the difference.

Of course, a company who had any idea about treating customers fairly
wouldn't even try to pull such a stunt, but this is France Telecom.

It's actually a product which has to be applied to the account manually,
and some CSRs forget - simple human error.

Why is it not automatically applied to all accounts that have no other
GPRS packages applied?

To charge customers by default on an unpublished rate that is over
three times the advertised price smacks more of fraud than
incompetence.

Call up 150 and ask for "GPRS Pay-as-you-use" product code to be added
to your account, and for your bill to be recalculated.

£10 per meg is the price Orange quoted me for GPRS roaming outside the UK...
