external aerial in poor signal area

T-mobile and Orange signals are rather intermittent in my house. I would
like to be able to use them both. Would an aerial on the chimney be worth
trying?

My R520 has a socket for an external ariel so would I just need ariel, cable
and some sort of connector to fit phone?

Check out Peter Parry aerials site he also has bi-directional linears for
1800MHz
