There are lots og angel websites out there, try googling on "angel
investor uk".
A good set of resources for these networks I use a lot are the lists
at:
http://www.innovateur.co.uk/events.html,
http://www.business-funding-uk.org.uk/business_funding_angels.asp
and there are a couple of well known ionvestor groups like Pi
Capital/Beer & Co.
An example of the types of companies you can find can been seen the
TVIN, OION and university websites, eg., at
http://www.ec.ms.ic.ac.uk/entrepreneurshipcentre/icentrepreneurs/icspinouts.htm
http://www.isis-innovation.com/spinout/index.htmllots
There's lots of small hi-tech stuff on these sites, some of them
rubbish, some of them maybe OK if you feel brave. Here's one in your
field that I saw a while ago on the Oxford website, prbably alreayd
snapped up by somebody if it's as good as it looks:

Arieso 250k
Arieso is the leading supplier of cellular network performance
management and optimisation software products to the mobile
communications industry. Arieso has made significant progress and has
achieved top product status with major operators namely Vodafone Group
and Orange Group. Trial results have shown that the Arieso product can
save Vodafone and Orange some £200m each on CapEx and OpEx over the
next five years.
Arieso will start contractual negotiations with Vodafone Group in
February and expects to become the preferred supplier of optimisation
products to the Group, with firm orders due in April. This contract
has the potential revenue of £24m in the next five years from Vodafone
Group alone.
The company is currently taking part in evaluations with O2 Group,
T-Mobile Group, Alcatel and HauWei (China). The total global market
size for Arieso's current products is £300m annually and is growing
fast. We project £1.6m revenue in this financial year, growing to £50m
in five years all of which is attributed to the product range
available now. Arieso requires investment to expand its engineering
and sales teams in order to support the Vodafone G roup contract and
to expand its product range. Expected valuation at the point of exit
is between £200m to £1b.
