Anyone know if the 6600 has the ability to send a text to a default
recipient without searching for the contact in the phone book ? - just like
the 6301i

Well I have a 6600 and I dont think that is possible

How does it work if you dont have to specify a contact?
The only thing I can think of is a speedial slot?

please explain more it might be that the phone can do it.

The 6310i has a setting in message settings called the title of this thread.

Well the 6600 doesnt have a setting in
message settings called the title of this thread
or Default SMS Recipiant (or Recipient)
so I guess its a no then

So if you specify a number there how can you send to anyone else..? If you
have to erase the number every time you want to do this there's not much
point..! Useful if you only ever send to one person I suppose but how many
of us are like that..?

The recipient field in filled in with the default number and you
either change it or confirm to send.
