Hi, I call Just-dial a lot and currently on my 02 online offline tariff
(if that makes sense) I can call 0871 numbers (or at least just dial)
and have it come out of my minutes.
Does anybody else do this? I would rather go to company that doesn't
charge 50p a min for non-existant customer service.
My old orange ED50 contract used to allow it but I've been checking all
the small print of the current deals I can find and it looks like
everybody else charges about 10p per min. I wanted to take advantage of
the 3 phone on sale from Amazon till I saw that they charge and the
mintues expire at the end of the month. I only found that by accident too.
Thanks
Jared

Hmmm... I'm surprised you can do this on your O2 contract. I was sure
that months ago they changed 0871 numbers so that they weren't included
in your minutes and you just paid for them (at 30ppm if I remember
correctly). Perhaps you're just lucky.

D'oh! The contract I've got is at least a year old now, I saw that they
had changed the minutes in the new ones but I didn't think the small
print had changed. I hate trying to find the small print 02 but it looks
like now I've got to check them out too. Does that mean if I cancel my
current contract I won't be able to call just dial included with any
network?

Vodafone charges 12/15ppm.

[and that includes to their 2nd customer service number, which is 0870]

I am on my third year with 02 and get 1000 off peak minutes and I also
get calls to just dial for free .

Three pay calls to 0845, 0870 0871 (telediscount) come out of the minutes
at the moment but that could change at anytime.. Their contract phones pay
according to the small print, I have not seen a bill to be sure of that.

They do indeed now charge for these calls, although didn't to begin with.
