I set up AIM on my samsung a530 w/ verizon. Upon setting up the phonebook on
the aim setup page I could only choose 30 buddies. After this, I simply put
all the buddies I wanted in the "Mobile Device" group on my list manually on
my pc. Problem solved, or so I thought.

When I sign on via my phone, I noticed that it wouldn't show me all those
who are signed on. Then I realized it was only using the initial 30 I
ticked, the extra buddies that I manually added weren't being processed.

I just logged in the aim phonebook set up page again, to find all the
buddies, the origional 30 and manually added buddies, to be ticked in there.
Of course if I attempt to tick or untick anything, or hit save, it kicks in
the alert about the 30 maximum allowed.

Is there any way to get more than just 30 buddies on the Mobile Device list
on my cellphone? I know I can send a message to 4654 with the "ScreenName:
Message" format, but I'd like to be able to see all my mobile device buddies
(including the excess of 30 that I manually added) via my phone so I can
tell who's online and who's not.

Is there any way to do what I want to do?
Thanks all,
Brian

No. There has always been a limit of 30 buddies for mobile AIM.

If you are using the Mobile Web, go to http://wim.aol.com . There is a
wireless version of AIM available.

Just keep in mind that the WAP version of AIM will use your minutes.
The text messaging version does not.
