I'm trying to get the LG TM-510 Data Connectivity Kit to talk to my VX-
4400.  I have the serial cable and the port settings are correct.  When I
try to sync with the phone, the phone displays "service required."  The
phone locks up and I have to turn it off and on to get it to work again.  I
don't want to push my luck and mess something up in the phone.  Can anyone
lend a hand with some insight?

    I only have the phone for 2 days, but I have spend lot of hours doing
research and trying to get BitPim to work so my information may not be
any or much help (but who knows).

    First, if you have serial data cable then you may want to set the data
port to RS-232C  "8" -> "6" -> "2" then set to "RS-232C".  And you may
need to install the driver to turn the VX-4400 into modem (I know I have
to install some drivers for my USB cable, but still can't get it to work
yet).
