Why has verizon not done better planning for ptt phones-It's really none
of my business, but why let that stop my posting, personally I don't
need ptt, the M2M  and u/L N&W served  me very well, but if I did need
the service I would have a problem--I know motorola make a very good
anything in communications--in the old two way market, it was either
motorola or the other junk (no disrespect to others) moto was the
best-the original brick cell phones, still work great, if you have them
plugged in to 12vt, the original flips, great working phones, but
battery  life again was horrible, startacs, came with ability to use two
batteries, even this would not get a moderate user through a day--always
had to have spares battery--remember how you would be talking on startac
it would beep, two seconds later, would go dead---

I haven't owned a moto in years(except for my old moto install (best
ever made))--because virtually every other mfg has a better battery
life--I may have missed the mot that does have a good bat life, but in
reading reviews is there a single one which doesn't have something like
"better battery life than ----" or "talk time not as good as
specs----and I see the same DAMN NON_SENSE on these new ptt's. ---Oh,
it's the same old phone, hum.

I have a year old Samsung t300( and I'm sure there are others) which
with moderate use can operate at least 2 days if not 3 without changing
or recharging---I still have this nagging in the back of my mind to
carry a spare(from the motorla days)--but hardly ever need it.

I'm probably going to really get some grief for this post, but in
reality most of the other stuff we are complaining about is a non issue
if you are constantly having to worry about the battery being run
down---oh, all you have to do is carry spares---YOU WOULD THINK THAT
AFTER ALL THESE YEARS MOTOROLA COULD MAKE A PHONE THAT THE BATTERY WOULD
LAST LONGER (not just claim to last longer)

I see posts, and I agree, the Verizon phone selection is not the
greatest-gadget wise, etc ( I will have 2or 3 difrerent sprint phones a
year, for the gadgets)--gadgets are nice, and I have no real great
problem with lack of gadget phones, because for at least the present,
the verizon system overall is still the best----if you combine their
system with a charged phone, that is..

Don't you think they're "testing the market" to see if anyone will buy
something this slow operating before buying thousands of more phones
that won't work and won't sell?

After all, the buyers do all the R&D to see what works.  Look at the
T720's colorful history!

Maybe we could get the power grid fixed if every politician
regulating the power companies wasn't on their payrolls.

Larry, while I am no communican't  specilist, the cost of developing
(stealing, copying, etc) woould have to be very tiny compared to costs of
updating, upgrading their system of towers, etc---If I were  verizons
competition, I couldn't think of a better way to mess up their ptt than
by what they are doing right now--this has got to be the craziest thing
I can think of---I have no problem with the verizzon network, but if the
most simple thing to make the stuff work is this battery life thing.
they may have to change the slogan to "is the battery charged yet---I
know someone is going to say that I'm wrong on this battery thing---but,
and I really am an old moto fan---but I just refuse to buy/use a phone
with a poor battery life, when others are avail at the same price--

this is true idiocy on the part of verizon
