Sprint is working for me with the "plain" EVDO nicely so far.  And no
mention of limits - not that I push it.

I will definitely look for the Rev A upgrade when it reaches the RDU
area.  Might even switch to Sprint for cell phone service, but hey, no
pressure  ;-}

That's all fine and dandy, however........

It's a fact that Sprint's 1900Mhz signal does NOT get into modern buildings
as well as Verizon's 880Mhz does.

While Sprint's data thruput looks nice, their RF coverage doesn't (In
Southern California). NO signal=NO data....

No different in PA, if you want RF coverage you don't pick Sprint.

I love you web "journalists" write things they don't know anything about,
because it sounds good.

"The increased capacity allowed by 1900mhz towers means Sprint (so far)
isn't cracking down on users who suck down more than their fair share of
bandwidth."

1900 is LESS desirable.  Higher frequencies have less power per bit, and
don't carry as far, or penetrate into buildings as well.  The reason Sprint
isn't as worried about it's network is that it doens't have as many
customers, so doesn't have to worry nearly so much about capacity!

I used Sprint for a while.
The reception was lousy.
They arbitrarily extended my contract for two years when I changed to
a new phone.

Customer Service 101: Sprint PCS gets D-

To get the full flavor, do a Google search for   "Sprint sucks"

They all suck .. because they all compete to get the opportunity to screw us.

Really ... what kind of deal is it to turn on service for an existing phone
and be locked into a one or two year agreement?!  If you even sneeze too loud
they will extend your contract.
