Help with V710 Data Cable

I bought a data cable and when I use it to surf the net,
my battery gets eaten up real fast.

Is there a data/charging cable combination or just a data cable
like I have? Did I get the wrong cable?

juan, data/charging cables do exist...i have one for my v710. got it
off the net somewhere a year or so ago. google 'v710 charging cable'
or something similar.

btw, i rarely use my charging cable anymore. my primary link between
my v710 and my laptop is via bluetooth. i keep the charging cable in
my pc case as a backup.

Thanks rich. Forgot about the bluetooth function.
