Kyocera 7135 - Any issues with this Phone?

I have a Kyocera 7135 and wonder if anyone has reception issues with
this phone? I am IN Texas, and this phone reception is next to
worthless. However, a friend's Treo 650 works fine from the same
location.

I am wondering if there is an issue with my specific phone, or has
Verizon made some change that had affected this phone.

My 7135 recently died. Signal strength degraded over a couple of weeks
until the phone was unuseable. I have the extended warranty. Rather than fix
the 7135 Verizon replaced it with a Treo 650.
