I've got the VX4400 and am in the middle of Manhattan.  It
offers many rings but none seem loud enough to combat the
noise of a busy city street when the phone is in my
backpack or sometimes even when it's in my pocket.

Are there any ringtones that are made to be markedly louder
than the ones that come with the phone?  Where would I
download them and how would I know how loud they are?

TIA

Louise

I had this phone for my trial and took it back for this reason. I work
in a very noisy environment. Otherwise it was a great phone. CS could not
help me with this.

You think that the LG 4400 has quiet ring tones, try the Samsung SCH-A310.
I have to keep mine on vibrate so as not to miss calls.

This is not what you want to hear...

I work in a very noisy environment. I had the Audiovox 9500. I missed so
many calls as the ringtone was not loud enough.

Phone was stolen and I wound up with the LG VX 4400. By contrast this
ringtone is so loud I have not missed one call yet.

Sorry.

I have the LG 6000 and found it to have the loudest ring
tones of any phone and I spent a lot of time checking them
all. Love it. It is about the only phone I can hear when I
am 20 feet away from it. Also when the cable comes out I
will be playing with ring tones to get one I really like.

Does it vibrate?  I always just turn on vibrate and put the phone in my
pocket when in loud conditons (concerts mostly).

Otherwise find yourself a terrorist - they seem to be able to get all sorts
of attention out of cellular-triggered devices.  :(
