If you GET a call it's the same as any other. If you MAKE the call it's
different story. VZW intl. calling is a rip off. If you need to make intl
calls from a mobile phone get Cingular and get their intl calling plan. LD
charges are about the same as using voip i.e. Vonage, Packet 8, AT&T (which
Cingular really is), etc.

Get a call...same as always, airtime.
Make a call to UK? Screw Verizon. You can MAKE a call to UK from your
cell for airtime plus US2.1c/min, from anywhere you can call your house.
Install Skype on your computer on broadband. http://www.skype.com/
FREE
Install Voxlib on your computer on broadband. http://www.voxlib.com/
Beta test right now is free, but it'll be cheap later and is really worth
it.
Leave your computer online. It doesn't hurt, ya know. You can download
from usenet while making calls through Vox and Skype just fine. I do
that all the while.
To call England, you need a $28/YEAR Skype In phone number so you can
call your own Skype from your cell. Anyone call call that number. When
you call, having told Voxlib your cellphone number so it picks up the
caller id, it answers with a sweet-young-thing reading you the menu. To
call England on Skype to Skype for free, press 3 to get her to read the
contacts online at the moment, then select one of them by pressing their
number and she will set up the Skype conference for you. To call any
English phone for 2.1c/min press 2, enter the country code and the whole
English phone number. Vox will call them on your Skype Out (costs $10 to
charge up your account it uses, prepaid) and conference you and
them....or as many people as you want to talk to at once...(c;
Screw Verizon and the rest of them ripping off the LD charge hogs. Works
great and audio is first class. Skype and Vox will also forward all your
Skype In calls to your Skype In number to your cellphone, too. Anyone in
England with Skype on their computer can also call for FREE! They call
your Skype from their Skype, direct. Vox answers the call and asks them
to wait a second until you answer your cell. Voila...England to your
house, skype-to-skype, for free, forwarded to your cell. After Jan 2007
that forwarded call will cost YOU 2.1c/min for the Skype Out call to your
cell...plus airtime, of course. This year it's free...(c;
I call my buddy on Okinawa's Skype from the cellphone a lot. Airtime-R-
Us....after 9PM..(c;....free.

For just the UK it's not worth it. Skype charges 2.1 c/m to landlines
and 25.6 c/m to mobiles. The quality is variable in my experience,
often it is good but sometimes it isn't. Cingular charges 6 c/m to UK
landlines and 25 c/m to mobiles on their $3.99/month calling plan, an
upcharge I'm often willing to pay to avoid having to dial a callthrough
and to get consistently good quality. If you don't mind dialing
a callthrough, however, calling cards for the UK can be had for
about 1 c/m to landlines and 10 c/m to mobiles. So between Cingular
(convenient) and calling cards (cheap) there isn't a lot of room for
Skype.
I do use Skype for overseas calls in countries where I can find
broadband Internet access, but where the local phone companies are
usurious. Mexico is in this category.

Why not ask Google? Cellphonemall on Google search says $15 for the real
Motorola OEM battery. I'd think that's about as cheap as it gets.
Oops...wait....:
