Phone to be used to replace sharp Z-800 since verizon can't get me a
replacement keyboard.
My friend got 2 for free but I was told I have to pay $99 since my contract
did not have the get a new phone at the end of the contract deal.

that is how much they are on the verizon website for a one year
contract...... so 99 without a contract is good......

Don't know where you're located, because offers differ by market, but
here in the upper Midwest, you could buy an 310 or an LG 4400 for $99
(the LG after rebate). I picked up the 310 because I wanted "just a
phone." I don't think I got ripped off, considering it has way more
features and much better call quality than the Samsung 850 it replaced.
