Responding to a previous post made me wonder about something..

What are the conditions VZW puts on the "Buy one, get one (or three) free?
Obviously, you have to have an active line to put the free phone on----but
does THAT line have to be eligible for an upgrade, or can you receive that
phone and activate it on any legitimate VZW line?

You should be fine with any active line. I imagine they will require
activation too. Of course, you could always change the phone and numbers
later if you wished, but we won't talk about that :).

I think the only issue is that they would not want you to take a "free"
phone just to sell it on ebay. That's all.

So when I am due in January, if there's a "B1G1 free" deal active,
I should be able to take the free phone and put it on my wife's line (which
isn't due for another year-separate account) ?

I did notice they specify new activations for the freebies---did I read that
right?

Thanks,
Dean
