Thanks for your info. If I want to transfer music from PC to phone, do
I need to buy LG specific UCB cable and accessories? I don't see it is
included in the package. But I heard the camera is not quite good.
Still thinking should I get this model...

yes, I be live you have to purchase sound kit that includes the usb
cable for the phone.
As for the camera, keep in mind that it's a *phone with a camera*,
not a "camera with a phone". Having said that, I think it actually
takes pretty good pictures. Not anything I would transfer and save
as a portrait but definitely better than any of the Motorolas that
I've owned in the past and the resolution is quite good.

Transfering music is easy, format the card in the phone as per instructions
that come with it, then if you have win XP rip files from cd's or copy mp3's
to the card, I rip'ed tracks from some cd's and re-named them to the song
title, instead of track one, ect, but moved the files as they were to the
card, and put the card into the phone, and went to where the music is,
several steps through the menu, but easy enough, and the played right from
the card without a problem, this is through the phone speaker, the adapter
that comes with it is for a 2.5 mm hands free headset plug, most headphones
for music is a 3.5 mm, still need to read and see if there is a adaptor for
that, or do I need bluetooth headphones, but it does transfer music easy,
also you can move pics to the memory card, just need good eyesight to see
that little card to insert it, but it works like most cards, push in to
lock, push again to unlock.

At the mobile phone area of Target's electronics dept I found a retractable
cable that plugs into phones 2.5mm headset plug and terminates in a 3.5mm
headphone jack. This allows one to use std stereo headphones as a handsfree
headset. The cable has a built-in mic. Cost is about $15

Hey there, let us know if the cable works, I have the VX8600 and its a great
phone, MP3 player is nice, figured out how to rip tracks from cd's and move
them to the micro sd card I got for mine, but the adaptor for the
headset/handsfree is a joke, I get a lot of noise on mine, its the little
thing that plugs into the charging slot on the side of the phone, least the
handsfree headset I use is noisy, and I have tried 3 bluetooth headset and
biggest problem i have so far, is finding one to fit properly on my head,
and ear, the Moto I first tried seemed to get noisy between the phone and
headset, plantronics did ok also, but some noise, and did not like the feel
behind the ear, the LG bluetooth just did not fit well must be for smaller
ears, also I have heard that Verizon phones and bluetooths do have some
noise, least it was the sales persons opinion at a Radio Shack where I
bought the Plantroincs at, so far I am 3 for 3 on BT headsets, tried 3 took
3 back, may wait a while see if the new year brings anything new out.
