How the LG Chocolate phone made it to the market is beyond me.  This
phone should never have passed the most basic customer test.
Problem: The phone touch activation buttons instead of push buttons
which means...
 1) If you're using the phone and your face brushes one of the
buttons, it starts activating functions during the call.   Am I the
only one who puts the phone to the ear when calling?  Like I said...
basic customer tests.

 2)  When typing a text message, if you accidentally brush over the
send button, the text message is sent.  Sometimes you don't even have
to touch it... just hovering over the touch button sometimes activates
the send.

 3) The response time of the touch is too slow.  So.. even if you hit
the touch button on purpose, there is a 1 second delay in screen
changing so you might hit the button again thinking that it didn't
catch the first time.  Now it cycles through two clicks.

The list of problems the touch screen causes is exponential.  But when
your most BASIC functions of a device becomes difficult, then the
conclusion is simple.... The Device is UNUSABLE

They offer a satisfaction trial period to return it if you don't like it.
Why didn't you return it?

Wow, so you don't need to make physical contact with the button?
Simply having your finger a inch or more above the button, the phone
'knows' it?

Wow.

Hell, that's nothing. I can dial a call on mine by just staring real hard at
the numbers.

I probably shouldn't post this but-----  a tech at the local VZW store told
me there's a hack that let's you dial just by thinking about the number-- as
long as the phone is within a few feet of your head. Also--  the higher your
IQ, the further away the phone can be.

That feature might not be as far off as you think....

Vista has been out a week.
Is Service Pack 1 ready yet?

Then this feature will be of little value in the US.
