I spent days troubleshooting this issue... It seems that if I install
Phone alarm (any version above 1.56).. then go and bond to my Motorola
HF850... activate the device so thats active.. leave the car.. switch
the phone to the "off" position while not attached to the hf850.. (i
think a reboot was required here)..
At this point the phone is in the off position, Bluetooth is enabled
on the phone, but WIFI is not turned on...
I send a call to the phone.. pressing the hard button to "ignore" the
call, will make any stylus ability go away.. if you use the hard
buttons to make a call you cant hear the dialtone etc.. The only fix
is to do a soft reset.
The only workaround I have found to this issue was to either disable
Bluetooth or have WIFI and BT on at the same time (or of course just
remove Phone Alarm).
Short of some other Phone Alarm type program that works as well as
Phone Alarm but doesnt lockup.. I dont know what to do..
I've yet to find anyone who can replicate this or at least who has
stated they can.. I've been able to replicate the issue over and over
though (again, there is no other software on the PPC, just phone alarm
and a bonding to the HF850.. then slider switch to off, while not
attached to 850, BT still enabled, wifi off, incoming call locks up
phone)...
Anyone else had this issue or know of a good alternative to Phone
Alarm?
Thanks

Update.. I tried removing the HF850 from BT settings.. while leaving
my HS850 earset in the system (with Hands free checked on this one)...
The problem still persisted.
If I unchecked "hands free" from the HS850 headset.. the problem went
away..
Finally, removing all BT car kits/headsets.. ie: HS850 and HF850
would eliminate the lockup issue (same as unchecking "hands free" i
suppose)..
Quite troubling.. as I obviously need to be able to use hands free
devices at times.
So this may not be directly related to the HF850 car kit, but to any
(motorola?) hands free device?
