I called a girl today and a guy answered the phone. It sounded like he
handed it to her, she said "hello" a couple times and hung up.

When I confronted her, she said that she there was no guy. It is
possible that the phone somehow malfunctioned and there really was no
guy, or was she clearly lying?

One thing we know for sure: it couldn't possibly have been a wrong number.

Assuming no wrong number I'm reminded of my dear old dad...

Where there's smoke there's fire. Or,
Something in the milk ain't clean. Or,
maybe I just don't trust people...

Malfunction...maybe but not in the phone.

Maybe it was her husband, and you should simply be thankful...

The closest thing to this that I have experienced happened about eight
years ago. I was in a meeting in silicon valley. Someone called in to
the meeting with his cell phone. We were equipped to handle this, we
had a speakerphone in the meeting room.

He was driving in from his home at the time. He lives in a rural area,
so the cell call might have been analog.

Anyway, the cell phone guy was speaking to us about something that was
interesting, and we were all listening to him on the speakerphone.
Without warning, his voice was suddenly replaced by an inane conversation
between an unknown man and woman. It was a funny moment.

In your case, perhaps a similar malfunction occurred. But I wouldn't
bet my life on it. Use a condom dude.

Maybe Youtube has the Mastercard spoof commercial on it that flashed
across my eyes seeing this.....

Teen and his gf come up the steps onto her dad's porch....Announcer lists
cost of things he's spent on her tonight...

He starts asking, then begging her for a bl.wj.b.  She's scared they
might get caught.  He keeps begging....

Suddenly, the porch light comes on and her little sister opens the
door....

"Dad says it's ok to give him a bl.wj.b.  If you don't want to do it, I'm
supposed to do it, BUT FOR GOD SAKE GET HIS HAND OFF THE INTERCOM
BUTTON!"

Announcer - "Having a dad with a great sense of humor......PRICELESS! For
everything else, there's Mastercard."

Way funny.  The look on the boy's face is just magical!...(c;
