Digital Indicator on LG VX4400

I have had my new VX4400 for about two weeks, and I just noticed that it
never shows the D, indicating digital service.  Is this normal for this
phone?  Neither does the A show for analog, so I am assuming I am getting
digital service.

you should see '1x'... that's enhanced digital.  you're straight!
