I've scoured around and found many QCP's and MP3's that I like for
ringtones. (One site mentioned that Verizon had gone to QCP's for
ringtones.) We have the phones recognized with Windows Media Player and are
able to sync but cannot set these sounds as ringtones. Have looked at
BitPim for help but it does not seem to support these new phones.
HowardForums has about a gazzillion threads which we'll start to wade thru,
but asaide from a "Google it" or link HowardForums, can anybody provide an
answere to enabling ringtones on a RAZR or KRZR?
btw, no microSD cards installed yet, just the USB cable.

I just used BitPim today to do some mods to my new RAZR, got rid of the
awful startup sound and video, ditto the shutdown sounds and video.
BitPim worked just fine for me but it won't detect a V3M, you have to
do it manually.
Here's some information:

Take a cruise over on:
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.sound-effects
where they post thousands of great radio and movie sound effects.
My main ringtone changed, yesterday, from a classic European antique bell
telephone over to the main warning horn sound they play from the towers
around a nuclear power plant when they have an accident in the movies.
It wakes the whole place up! I can even hear it ringing on my
motorcycle...(c;
Lots of these sound effects make fantastic ringtones.
