Hi All:

I have a Motorola V3M Razr phone with Verizon service.  I've purchased
Motorola Phone Tools and am able to download pictures and video with
no problems.

I also want to be able to download my text messages from the phone
thru the software.  It appears that PhoneTools will do this however
when I connect, and select the option to download SMS messages, the
status bar just stops immediately and no text messages download.  The
program doesn't crash or give an error message.  It just appears to
ignore the request to download text messages.  Text message service is
enabled on the phone as about 100 messages are on the system.

Motorola tech support for the Phone Tools has told us that it is
possible that although the phone has text messaging service that
Verizon may have download of the text messages blocked.  This seems
unlikely to me but maybe that is the case.

Anyone have any thoughts?  Has anyone ever downloaded text from the
phone before?  Is it possible?  Again, pics and video download with no
problems!

Thanks!
Drew

Don't know if this will work but give it a try, change the phone in MPT
to V3MM and see if that helps.

If it doesn't help, ask on HowardForums.
