Yeah, right-- just like their data plan was unlimited. If you used it "too
much" (and their say-so on how much that was) they deep sixed you as a
customer...

One way to get out the contract...

Why not supply a link so we can see what you're talking about?

Note that it is a voice plan (not data)...
They used to have it (several of my friends that are salespeople have it and
love it, and those that had it a few years back - refuse to give up their
old plans that had it, but may be willing to now)

Would have been a great thing years ago before free in network calling.
Most of my family and associates are on VZW so my actual billable
minutes have gone way down over time.

Yes, I find that too, but it may vary by geographic area. In Silicon
Valley and the Bay Area, most professionals are on Verizon, and that's
led to more friends and family being on Verizon for free MTM.

With Mobile to Mobile, the least of most people's problem is sufficient
peak minutes.

Unfortunately for Verizon, probably too little, too late.  With
Sprint/Nextel set to offer a similar deal for $60, Verizon may have to
either lower the monthly rate or throw in some extra bells and whistles.  As
mentioned previously, several other Verizon "unlimited" plans (data)
suddenly became limited for certain users.  Looking at their fees for data
(50 MB 39.95 and 50 GB 59.95), it appears to me that Verizon is still
gouging in these areas.  C'mon, it's the 21st century---- unlimited voice
should by 49.95, 50 MB data should be 19.95 and 50 GB data should be 29.95.
That's a lot more reasonable.  Or how about $99 a month for truly unlimited
voice AND data.  To to get real Verizon.

And correct that 50 GB data figure to read 5 GB.  If it were 50 GB, it might
be worth the 59.95.   Get real Verizon.

They'll figure it out.

PagePlus beat them all to the punch--$60/month all you can eat, prepaid.
No contract.  On the Verizon network.

Nice.  Very nice.

Since I am thinking about going to the new Verizon plan, your message here
got my interest.  Unfortunately, there must be some hidden PagePlus that
you deal with.  The one I see on the web lists their "unlimited 24/7" rate
as $2.49 a day.  Even in a February with no leapyear, that's still more
than $60 a month (its $69.72 for 28 days, $74.70 for 30 days, and $77.19
for 31 days).  And the fine print in the user agreement clearly states that
rate does not include mobile web.

So while PagePlus is indeed slightly cheaper, its apparently not by the $39
amount you indicate...and not enough to make me drop Verizon.

Call them.  This isn't in all states, but is in many states (such as
mine).

You can also try uglyeric.com; he's a good dealer with lots of info.

howardforums has a very active PP forum; try this:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1303276

and poke around for more info on buying minutes with discounts
(callingmart.com currently has the best deal with telecomservices.net a
few pennies behind), the unlimited n/w plan, the unlimited 24/7 plan,
etc.

Anyway, PagePlus must have known this was coming.  They started the
unlimited 24/7 several weeks ago at $2.99.  Then it was revealed that it
was only $1.99 in many states.  Now their web site says $2.49.
Interesting.

Call them, trust me.
