OK, please help me decide, I think I've narrowed my candidates to replace my
E815 phone to either an LG 8350 or an LG 8700.  I kind of like the slick and
cool look of the 8700 but I hear a lot of good things about the 8350 being a
real workhorse kind of phone (not that I need a workhorse).

Also, please share your thoughts on whether it's advisable to pay the
monthly insurance fee when you get a new phone?

Thanks in advance!

That's up to you.  Did you ever drop your phone?  Have it fall into the
toilet?  Lose it?  Leave it on top of your car and drive off?  Have it
stolen?  Etc. etc. etc.

You are the only one who can assess the risk and therefore the value of
the insurance.  It's not worth it to me but I've not had problems and,
depending on your personal life, it may be worth it to you...

I replaced my E815 with the 8350 about a year ago, and I've
never regretted it.  It's a nice, reliable little phone.  I
don't know anything about 8700, but I can highly recommend
the 8350.

8700 is waaaaay overpriced, considering it's just an 8600 with a $100 metal
case.

Thanks, I ended up getting the LG 8350 which I'm enjoying and which I
did not have to pay anything to upgrade.
