Curious, what does everyone think about this unit? Has anyone picked one up
yet? I haven't seen it physically, but I found this site that has a write-up
about it:
http://www.verizonxv6900.com/Default.aspx?id=156&tabid=104

So I'm kind of reluctant because of the touch screen keyboard. I'm not sure
how it responds compared to a hardware keyboard such as the 6800's slide out
keyboard.

Appreciate any opinions or observations about it from anyone that has either
picked one up or considering one.

Thanks

Depends on how well you can pick up writing onscreen with a stylus
(various "virtual" keyboard or transcribing Windoze CE/Mobile options).
I went from using Palms and Graffiti 1 and 2 for some years to the WM
onscreen input with a XV6700 (predecessor to the 6800 that seems to be
the keyboarded version of the 6900), and was surprised that the
transcriber was even easier to use than Graiffiti - hardly ever bothered
with the 6700's slide-out cramped little keyboard (with added stupidity
of QWERTY layout - pet peeve of mine is that if I have to learn how to
type from scratch with my thumbs, why not an efficient layout like
Dvorak??? Arrgghhh...).

YMMV, so find one in a VZW store, and play with it for a while (nice
quiet week nights are best ;-)

FWIW,
ROC
