Anyone get these on their Verizon phone?  How does a spammer get your
number?  How can you block the spam?  Can you ever request a custom
number on a Verizon phone or are you just stuck with whatever they
assign?  Thanks.

Log on to http://www.verizonwireless.com and turn off TXT messaging
that originates from the Internet.

You'll still be able to send/receive TXT messages from a cell phone,
just not via the web; which is where the overwhelming majority of cell
phone SPAM originates.

P. S.  I signed in and looked at my features but could not find that
one to remove it.
