It's time to upgrade and I'd like a cell phone with a good mp3 player
and call quality, but it's not worth it for me to pay for extras like
internet access and Verizon Navigator.  If I get a Blackberry Pearl
8130 and hack it so the built-in GPS will work without subscribing to
VZ Navigator, it *might* be worth it, as it's only $20 more than my
other choice of Samsung Gleam.  Does this sound like a good option?

I just upgraded to the 8130 but as far as I know there is no way to hack the
GPS to
enable it.  Good old verizon requires you to sign up for the web/email
service when you order it.

This guy on another thread said it might be possible, but I don't know
if it's worth the expense and trouble.  If I'm not getting an mp3
player and GPS, not sure I even need bother getting another phone.
