For the Verizon Backup Assistant (contacts),
when we have the multiple lines on a family plan
does EACH user have to setup a MyVerizon account
to be able to sign into the web based Backup appl ?
I downloaded the app to the 2nd phone... installed, created pin, etc
Then did a "backup".
Went to the web to sign in - it would not accept our phone number + pin
http://www.verizonwireless.com/backupassistant
SO - I can't see anywhere after we sign into our main My Verizon account
where we see all the family lines -
to then get a "different" line for the Backup appl ?

just used the online "chat" for VZ,
and the rep indicated that EACH phone number
must be registered with their OWN MyVerizon
to be able to use Backup Assistant.

...and after you do that, logoff the website then do a backup from the
phone.....and all will be right with the world.
Truly amazing that a company as large and technically sophisticated as VZW
would make such major changes (arguably an improvement) in a key part of the
system that users interact with frequently---- yet not tell anyone about it
or how to use it!!!

the key element - was that each user had to create their own MyVerizon
account -
which makes sense... so each user has access to their own phone entries,
without having access to each other's entries or having access via the main
account ID/password.
Anyway - created an account for the extra phone line,
and it was created as a LIMITED account - with very basic access info -
since the main account has the real control for the billing, etc.
AGAIN - this is not really mentioned anywhere.
