I am confused about the Unlimited Data pricing plan from Verizon. It says it does not cover voice? Does that mean that you also have to buy a voice plan? NationalAccess Calling Plans If you spend an average amount of time on your wireless phone and the Internet, these plans offer good value. Starting at just $35 per month, you get an airtime allowance that can be used for both wireless Internet access and domestic calling. There are no domestic long distance or domestic roaming charges coast to coast. Unlimited NationalAccess and BroadbandAccess Calling Plan If you use the wireless Internet for hours at a time, this fixed-rate plan offers great value. For just $79.99 a month, you get unlimited NationalAccess and BroadbandAccess for your wireless data needs. NationalAccess Megabyte Calling Plans These plans charge by the amount of data you use and are ideal if your usage is relatively constant each month. Megabyte allowances start at 20 MB for just $39.99 monthly access. Notice that there are three plans. (ONLY one is *unlimited* and that's the one that costs about $80 a month and has no voice included). Depending on your specific data needs, you may not need UNLIMITED. The unlimited Data plan is not intended for phones, it is intended for Data only cards. I don't know if you even can get this plan on a phone even though the phones access data the same way while in Data mode. Voice is irrelevant for most who would use this plan. Dave >"David W. We have been using the unlimited data plan on our phone for several months. Before that, we had the National Single Rate voice plan and used the phone almost exclusively for data. If you want voice and unlimited data, you want to get a voice plan and add the unlimited NationalAccess to it as a calling feature. The feature costs the same as the unlimited data plan, so no, no discount for getting both. If you have a Kyocera 7135 PDA or a Pocket PC, you can add Unlimited Wireless Sync Express Network to your AC plan. The cost is another $44.99/m. Pjay |
