I just bought a new LG4400 and found that the software version is 06. What
advantages do I have in upgrading to Version 08?

Is the upgrade free? Can I take it to a Verizon store for upgrade?

Mine holds a signal better in weak signal areas since I went to version 08.

Upgrade is free at any full service Verizon store.
