I'm thinking of getting the LG VX6000 phone. I'd have to buy it outright
since I'm not 2 years into my plan yet, so I don't think VZW would exchange
it if I don't like it.
What are your opinions of this phone? How is it's performance in low signal
areas? Picture quality? etc.?
TIA
Paul

I have had my VX6000 for a couple months now and I love this phone.  It is
the best phone that I have owned on the Verizon Wireless service.  The call
quality is superb no matter where I am, even in low signal areas.  The
picture quality is good for a camera phone.  You have to realize you are not
going to get dedicated digital camera quality pictures with the VX6000 but
it works OK for its intended use.  The LCD quality is also very nice and the
ringtones and speaker loudness is great.  Overall I am very surprised at how
happy I am with this phone.  I switched from my Audiovox 9500 and have not
regretted the move.  You WILL be happy with this phone.  Hope this helps.

I like my 6000 quite a bit. It's a great phone, but there are some issues
that could be improved. First the picture quality is okay during really
bright sunlight but at night in lower light situations it leaves a lot to be
desired and there is no flash. Then again, I am not willing to carry a full
camera around with me all the time either, so crappy as it may be, the
camera phone still serves a purpose.

Signal quality is pretty good. I have no issues with that. And I think it
has the best LCD in the industry. Certainly the best and brightest I have
ever seen. I will have to say that I disagree with David on the loudness
however, some of the included ringtones are loud enough but a lot aren't,
and I haven't been able to get any MIDI file loud enough to please me. There
fine if you are home alone, but if you are outside or in a mall or store
forget it, you won't hear them.

Games are rather lacking right now on this phone as well, but I am sure that
will change over time.

Paul,

My Motorola V60c just broke on Thanksgiving.  The day after I went
down to my verizon store, and they offered me the LG6000 at the
promotional price. I was only a year in to my contract.  I did have to
sign a new 2 year contract though.  So far the phone is great!
