Hi,

Awhile ago I read a post that said that we could use the Express Network for
no additional charges (except airtime) if you are an existing verizon cell
customer.

I called customer service, they said you must pay an additional charge to
use it.

Any comments?

Thanks,

Fred

Yup, call CS a hundred times and you will get 100 different answers. Think
about it, you call CS asking about something that is free and they make no
money on, is it any surprise that instead of explaining how to use something
totally free, they try and sell you something they can make a commission on?

Peter is right. There are thousands using EN for free, just paying
minutes used the same as talking. It is a byproduct of the fact that
they want to sell ringtones and games at high speed. They don't really
want anyone using what you want but it can't really be stopped. If you
call 5-6 times you'll find a rep that knows how to turn it on for old
accounts. All new AC accounts have it automatically.

Keep calling until you get a rep with an IQ (any IQ).

The plan you want is called EN-MOU - Express Network - Minutes Only
Used.

This might be helpful: There is no EN-MOU "plan". It is a feature to have added
to your current voice plan.

Correct - it's added on the features page.  My bad terminology.

Yup, and figure if you ask 100 CS people can you add an option to an
existing plan that makes them absolutely no money, you'll probably get 99 of
em trying to sell you something they can make a commission on, and with
luck, you will finally find one that will take a second or two to add that
option to your current plan for free.

You only asked one so far, you have 98 more to ask :)

Actually I didn't ask.  I went to the store, asked, was turned down
and demanded.  It ended with the service manager adding the feature,
after checking with corporate, since he had no idea what it was.  Even
though I gave him the code.
