Anyone in the California market presently enjoying a MOU option with
their America's Choice plan? Reason I am asking is the helpful folks
at Verizon have maintained that there is no such option that I can add
to my plan (AC 900). They are instead steering me towards the
NationalAccess Calling Plans which combine data and voice. Beyond
their excessive expense, you get cannot add a 2nd line (Family), enjoy
Night and Weekend Unlimited Minutes, or even Mobile to Mobile minutes.
Is there a work around? I simply want to use 1XRRT for occasional
use--I have broadband at home and dial-up for when I am on the road.

I just got it added to my CA account less than 2 weeks ago, and on an old
(originated March '02) A/C plan no less. I think all of CA has been
converted to the Vision billing system, but if it matters for comparison,
I'm in NorCal (831 A/C). I've been meaning to try and get the actual code
for the option off my account, but haven't wanted to risk them noticing I
had it.. ;)
Good luck though.. and just keep trying. Took me 3 or 4 reps, and after many
different approaches, I finally just said "Are you familiar with the Express
Network/National Access Minutes of Use feature?" and when one finally said
'yes', I just asked "Could you please add it to my account?" Although he
insisted it was just for picture messaging, I just said "Thank you, I'll
take my chances" and left it at that.

I am using America's Choice with Express Network MOU. It was added
automatically when I moved from Ohio to Southern California. (To both lines,
even though my secondary phone isn't 1x capable.)

However, I forgot to add that I had it on my Ohio account and did an EZ-Move.

Curious... I don't remember how you got EN MOU on your Ohio account.
Can you retell the experience? I'm assuming you didn't have it
automatically added, since I know you were a VZW account holder there
before they started doing that.
I'm curious if new activations are supposed to get it automatically.
Mine didn't.

800-308-DATA, explained *exactly* what I was looking for, and got a tech
support rep who was clued enough to find it.

I originally called the 800-308-DATA number here in Ohio, and all they did
was transfer me to CS to add the feature, and CS had no clue what I was
talking about, I managed to get the feature code, 1XPP1 and they were able
to add it with no problem. Perhaps the original poster should try calling CS
and give them that code, it may work, and save him some time.

I did. I signed up for service in June of this year. It was listed on my
sales slip as Express Network - MOU, No Charge. Have been using it ever
since. Works great.

What worked for me was contacting VZW data technical support (not
general customer service) to enable GetItNow (Brew) to use EN-MOU, when
I updated my T720 to T730 software. Apparently, GetItNow is another
"intended" used of EN-MOU, along with picture messaging. In my area
(SF-Bay, CA), *611 has an option directing you to data support.
